The Samyang 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC Wide-Angle Lens gives you a wide 84° view when used with a full-frame 35mm camera, 57.6° when used with an APS-C camera or 47.6º with Four-Thirds cameras. Four low-dispersion (ED) glass elements and two aspheric elements produce sharply defined images with a minimum of aberrations. The lens focuses as close as 9.84" from the lens, giving you outstanding wide-angle close-up views. A multi-layered and anti-reflection UMC coating provides superb light transmission and reduced flaring. It is a manual focus lens.
The optics of the lens has been constructed with 13 lenses arranged in 12 groups. 4 lenses feature low-dispersion glass (ED), while two are aspheric lenses. The Samyang 24mm f1.4 lens features multi-layered and anti-reflective coatings (UMC) to maximise light transmission and best possible optical quality.
Suitable for Full frame and APS-C sized sensors. In the case of full-frame cameras, it constitutes a high-quality wide-angle lens perfect for street, landscape and architectural photography. Whereas photographers using DX sensors will get just perfect lens for the purposes of calmer journalist and landscape photography (approximately 35mm equivalent). The lens attached to Four Thirds cameras will create a universal and bright / fast aperture lens corresponding to approximately 50mm equivalent focal length.
