Driving this lens's autofocusing is a fast and quiet leadscrew-type STM motor. Its bright f/1.7 maximum aperture is paired with 9 aperture blades to allow working in dimly lit settings and to create stunning bokeh that makes your subject stand out. Optical aberration and image distortion are reduced by the incorporated extra-low dispersion (ED), high-refractive (HR), and aspherical (ASPH) lens elements.
