The baseplate provides the convenience of a Manfrotto-type quick release plate, 15mm LWS rod support, and an ARRI-standard dovetail mount on the base. Weighing only 9.5 oz, the baseplate is constructed with a magnesium-aluminum alloy that is approximately 40% lighter than standard aluminum material.
